Taking my Jo Malone virginity.

So until recently my town didnt have a Jo Malone shop and after reading so many blogs about the products and seeing it all over YouTube I obviously wanted to see what all the fuss was about and was not disappointed.

The assistants were lovely and so helpful.
Explaining the scents to me including the one I really wanted to try which was the Wood, Sage and Sea Salt.
I took my Grandma along with me and after using the same perfume for as long as I can remember even she's putting it on her Birthday List!

I love the scent as it's so nice and fresh and the assistant was lovely enough to give me a sample of the body butter in the fragrance to try out.

She's also invited me along to their 'Rock the Ages' product launch.
Sipping champagne, getting a hand and arm massage whilst being shown the new range sounds like heaven to me! Thank you very much!

Can't wait to look into this brand a bit more and make a few sneaky purchases!

It's my Birthday in a couple of weeks so fingers crossed!

What's your favourite scent from Jo Malone?

Mini Lush Haul!

So on Thursday I tweeted saying I was going to lush to pick up a few things and I tried really hard not to go mad and get everything which is one of my constant battles whenever I walk in the shop... Or anywhere near it to be honest.

I was going in specifically to get the Unicorn Horn bubble bar after seeing my local store tweeting about it and them being out of stock every time I went in!

Luckily they had it in on Thursday so I'm very excited to use this.
Look how pretty it is!

It's everything a girl could want in a bubble bar. It's so many pretty colours and it has stars all around it!
It's also scented with Lavender oils which makes it perfect to use when you want to relax or before bed to help you sleep.

I also picked up two other little bits. One was the Avobomb as I picked it up a few months back and then actually gave it to a friend as a present because I knew she'd love it. She hasn't tried it yet as far as I know but I have been wanting to repurchase it so I could try it myself for a while!

Lastly I picked up Phoenix Rising. This again looks super pretty!
It's a really lovely shimmery purple colour and smells like cinnamon.
It's meant to help hydrate your skin with the cocoa and shea butter in it as well as the cinnamon scent intending to lift you're mood.

I'm looking forward to using all three of these.

Do you have any Lush recommendations?

I Love Lush... Is it obvious?

So as you may have seen from my previous post... I had a little spree in Lush...
I love it a little too much I feel... Well I don't, but my housemate is constantly falling over bath bombs, and bubble bars trying to get into the bath... oops!

I had some money left on a gift card my Dad gave me back in February for my Birthday so I decided I wanted to get some products that I hadn't tried before to see if I ended up with any new favourites.

The first one that I spotted was Northern Lights.

I love purple, and I love the little stars embedded within this bomb. It has Jasmin Absolute and Ylang Ylang Oil in it, and smells amazing. I'm looking forward to putting this in my bath to see what happens!

Next was the Avobath,

I LOVE Avocado a lot a lot! So when I saw this one, I had to get it. It smells so different to the usual Lush smells I'm used to. Fresher!
It says to use this one in the morning rather than the evening and it's aim is to tackle dryness and skin dehydration using the avocado and olive oil.

Look how cute Butter bear is!

You can smell the cocoa butter in this a dream and smells kind of vanillary too. Cocoa Butter is amazing for your skin and has so many benefits including being really nourishing.

Oh No! His nose fell off! Poor Melting Snowman!

This smells similar to the Butter Bear but has a hint of Cinnamon and Orange. Yum! I love that it has a Christmassy scent to it. Perfect for this time of year. It's gonna make my skin soooo soft!

Sex Bomb, Sex Bomb, You're my Sex Bomb...

This is one that I have tried before... but was a long time ago now! So I think it can safely be in this haul. It's an old favourite for many, its very pretty to look at, and I love the rose detail in the middle on the top.
It has similar ingredients to Northern Lights with the added bonus of Clary Sage Oil which is what helps you relax. I have teamed this one up with part of the Comforter crumbled up with it previously and that was amazing! I might try it on its own though to get the full effect.

GLITTER!!!!!!

Woweee this is suuuper glittery and this makes me very happy with life. It smells lovely and I am more than happy to be covered in gold glitter to smell this. It has Juniperberry, Grapefruit and Lime oils to make this the awesome scented bubble bar it is.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeeeeeer...

I feel like I should be singing a mash up of Rudolph and Jingle Bell Rock whilst I type this...
Reindeer Rock is the first soap I have ever purchased. Well... not ever... I do wash! Just from Lush!
The lovely lady in my local shop introduced me to it after me explaining that my favourite product is The Comforter. She tempted me over saying it smelt similar and I could use this whilst in a bath filled with Comforter bubbles... How could I say no?!
It has Lingonberry and Cassis Absolute mixed in with lots of other yummy ingredients... I can't even... Oh my!

I Hope you have enjoyed my mini Lush haul. I certainly have!

Can you recommend any Lush products you would say are you're go to product?!

What I'm loving this week.

So I thought I'd share a few beauty and non beauty favourites of mine from the last couple of weeks.

First up is the egg house that my Dad and step mum brought myself and my flatmate for Christmas after me saying I liked theirs. It's looks super cute on our side.

Also the heart shaped white ramekins they brought us too. They also have matching ones!

I'm also loving my Urban fudge dry shampoo and hairspray. These smell amazing!!! And really work well. Definately will repurchase once I've run out!

Next up are my boots from Primark. I brought these a few months back and I love them! They are so easy to wear with anything and everything!
I love the gold hardware and actually prefer the worn in look they have now.

I'm really loving scarves at the moment as the weather has got chillier.
A couple of my favourites at the moment are this one from primark, I love the colour and it's super snuggly!

Also this blue and green pashmina type which I got from H&M years ago and recently rediscovered it. Here's me wearing it today.

These a just a few things that I'm loving at the moment.
What are you loving?

I Love New Things!

So after a very expensive month being December what with Christmas and New Years Eve I haven't been able to get everything I need this month so far... When I say need... I definitely mean want...

However! I have managed to pick up a few new products that I'm excited to start using!

Firstly, I genuinely did need a new liquid eyeliner... Mine had started to make my eyes sting which is never good!
I picked up this one from Soap and Glory. It's the Super Cat in Carbon Black and was a steal at £6!
I wore this when I went to my friends wedding reception at the weekend and I loved how easy it was to apply. It glides so smoothly over my eyelid and was super easy to do a cat eye.

Next up I picked up a couple of Lush products after being recommended them on Twitter by my local store.
Everyone knows how much I rate their Lip Scrubs having loved the Bubblegum flavoured one for a couple of years now.
So I picked up the new flavour, 'The Kiss' and it smells soooo good!
It's very sweet like the Bubblegum one but in a slightly different way, it's hard to describe!

I also picked up the 'Honey Trap' lip balm  as recommended by them following my blog about High Street Lip Balms. This again smells amazing!
Can't wait to start using it!

Lastly, I brought some MAC lipstick, because a girl has got to treat herself every now and again.

I actually brought these from a friend who had purchased the wrong colour and didn't use them, but had lost her receipt to return them. Perfect for me though!
It's from the Amplified line in the shade 'Impassioned' and is a gorgeous pinky red. I also picked up a lip liner to go with it which is in the shade 'Dynamo'.
I'm loving these together and intend to use this a lot over the coming months. Including my Birthday as it is Valentines Day and I think this is the perfect Valentines colour.

I also recently purchased a couple of quad palettes to transfer some of my potted MAC shadows into to make it easier to take round with me.

At the same time I brought a shadow to go straight in and went with 'Naked Lunch'.
It's a gorgeous neutrally champagney shade and I've been wearing it a lot! It's definitely become my go to shade for day time along with using it to highlight under my brow with a night time look.

Have you brought any new products recently? Any recommendations?

Much Love,

High Street Lip Balm Faves

So... It's that time of year when we are all reaching for our lip balms a hell of a lot more!
I know I am!

For some reason this year more so than before too... Unsure what that's all about?!

So I thought I would share my fave High Street Lip Balms to help soothe your lips too!

Now, I haven't tried many High End ones so I am unable to compare, and I'm sure there are many fantastic ones out there. But if you're like me and tend to have one in your handbag, car, room and at work too... It can get a little pricey anyway, let alone with higher end stuff!

Firstly I try (I do try really hard to remember every morning but inevitably forget) to remember to use my Lush Lip Scrub.
I have the bubblegum one and I've spoken about my love for this product. Having now converted a fair few friends in the past month or so too!

This helps make your lips super soft and gives a fab base for your balm to be able to actually work and soak into them properly.
The fact that you get to lick it off is just a massive bonus!

Now... My most favourite ever ever ever has to be Carmex.
Everyone knows this about me, and again, over the years I have managed to convert many friends and family members to its greatness.
I personally don't mind whether it's in the original tub form or if it's the squeezy tube... As you can see!
However... Regarding flavour... I am a little fussy... Only in that I can't seem to get along with the Mint one... This is very unfortunate, but I comfort myself with the gorgeous strawberry or cherry ones and then I don't feel sad.
I feel that Carmex is the only balm I've found to actually do the job on my lips... Although I do switch it up every now and then because I lose the tingling sensation and feel like my lips become kind of immune to it if that's even possible?
I also love to use this underneath lipgloss as I find most lip glosses rather sticky, and this way it keeps it from being too much.

It's generally around the £2/£2.50 mark and you can find it everywhere including Primarni now. It's also got SPF 15 which is an added bonus.
They have also brought out a tinted range but personally I don't like them. Each to their own I guess, but I will stick with these thank you!

Next up is a Nivea Stick balm. I will generally use this when it's windy or on the go/in a rush as I always end up squeezing half a tube of my Carmex out! What a waste!
I do really like it as a balm, it's very moisturising, although I sometimes feel it can feel a bit greasy after a while.

This again can be found in most shops and is around £1.50/£2, and has a SPF of 20 too.
Nivea also have a tinted range which I do actually like, and used to use the light pink shimmery one regularly.
I may have to repurchase this!

Lastly is good old Vaseline. I personally prefer this Rose one as I feel it isn't as industrial feeling as the original blue one. Maybe that's just because it's pink... Who knows?

It definitely gives a nice hint of colour to your lips, although I'm not sure how much it works on my lips unfortunately. Although I still buy it, so it must be doing something right!

What are your favourites?

A Winter Wonderland!

So the week before Christmas my Mum took Myself, My Sister In Law and my two nephews and niece to see Father Christmas.

This was at the Brookside Garden Centre in East Peckham, Kent.

My mum had previously taken the rest of the crew the year before last and the kids has loved it.

So we decided we'd make a day of it!

First we stopped for lunch at The Hop Farm which is about a 5 minute drive away from the garden centre.

It's set in a beautiful old oast building and it's really good value for nice food.

Then with our bellies filled it was time to see the main man himself!

While we were waiting there was loads for the kiddies to do, including a massive chalk board that ran the whole length of the queue which I thought was a great idea. There were also elves with iPads going round involving them in different games.

We waited... Patiently... As patient as kids can wait when they know they are meeting Father Christmas anyway!

Each group is given their own Elf which my Mum was very happy about.
As soon as we stepped inside I knew it was going to be magical... It was like a winter Disney!

The Elf we had was brilliant and she told the kids stories about different parts of the winter walk to the hut where Santa was waiting. (They of course were walking around, mouths open, mesmerised!)

Once we reached Santa's hut, there was a guest book for us to sign which we dutifully did... Adults included... Ahem.

I'm not sure what my then... Nearly 1yr old niece knew what to do when with this bearded man in a red and white suit started talking to her and handing her a present! Bless her.

My youngest nephew on the other hand asked for a toy reindeer and told his big brother to ask for a lion... (Who knows?!)

All in all it was a lovely day and definitely an experience I would recommend to any families with young children... Or even just the adults as I know we had fun!

There is also a massive beautiful section of Christmas Decorations every year and we struggled not to buy the whole lot!

Here's a few of the animal themed displays... Because... Cute!

Chilled Day

So after having a lot going on recently and lots of posts written up, I decided to show you a sneak peek of a chilled day of mine today.

Not sure why? Just felt like it!

After a work meeting, myself and my grandma decided to pop to our local Notcutts which is a garden centre that has been refurbished and now has loads more to offer including a gorgeous cafe.

The food is yummy, and it's decorated so nicely which makes you want to go back even more. Plus it's not too expensive and it has an open kitchen which I like. I like to be able to see where my food is coming from. Is anyone else like this?

It's got such a lovely feel to it, and the staff are all super nice.

I went for a fish finger sandwich with chips. Naughty!

Anyone else love the plates as much as me?

They have other sections too including a butchers, fresh fruit/veg and pastries.
Along with a section of pets! Look how cute the bunnies are! I want one!

Mood shot!

Hope you have all has a nice Tuesday, and it's good to be back.
I'm going to leave you with a lovely picture of the view from my Doctors.

Much Love,
