Products I Can't Live Without | Lip Balm

Well, I am a horrendously bad blogger aren't i... I will post these every Friday she said... that did not happen... I apologise.

Unfortunately, life happened, which is the case for many people I know. Sometimes you end up in your own little bubble and it takes a while to pop out.

But I'm back... I can hear the applause. Thank you, thank you, you are too kind.

The first product I'm pretty sure I have mentioned MANY times, but it is amazing and my go to. I've got many people onto it over the years too and they still use it now.

Lip Balm, Blog,

Carmex

Whether you go for original or one of the scented versions, you won't be disappointed. I tend to reach for my original or my strawberry ones the most, but I think I have one in every variation now.

I love the pots it comes in, but for ease on the go, the squeeze tubes are definitely a lot easier.

Top Tip! If you leave it in the sun, be careful upon opening as it will melt and you will lose a lot of product super fast!

I also love the little tingle this gives when you put it on... no rude thoughts please...

Korres

I only picked this up a few months ago now as seen in one of my hauls {link} but it's great. I got it in the mango flavour and it smells good enough to eat... don't worry... I won't...

It makes my lips feel super soft, and on those days where I just want variety from my Carmex, this is one of the main ones I gravitate to.

I now want to try as many flavours as possible, but the mango will be a strong fave regardless.

Lush

Lush lip balms have been a firm favourite of mine for many years, but I have to say that Honeytrap is my must have of their collection.

It smells so good you could eat it, but is also super moisturising on your lips.

The only problem I have is that when I have my acrylics on it can be a little bit on a mission to get it out without making holes in the product which really upsets me!

What are your must have lip balms? I'd love to know.

Much Love,

Dr Paw Paw

As an avid Carmex girl, I generally dont bother trying new lip balms, or at least dont find them to work as well as my trusty Carmex.

Recently, in one of my Birchbox's I received a Dr Paw Paw Original and have actually really enjoyed using it!

Don't get me wrong, I still reach for my Carmex more often than not, but I really like the way it feels on my lips.

blog, blogger, blogger, lip balm, dr paw paw, moisturising,

It keeps them super moisturised, and last for a good couple of hours.

The only thing I did miss was a scent like with the Raspberry Carmex, which smells awesome.

After looking into it a bit more, I found that it is a multi use product. It can be used on dry and cracked skin, as well as helping to set fly away hairs, brows and more.

I didn't realise Dr Paw Paw was only launched in 2011, and was the UK's first Paw Paw lip balm.

The website states that the two most important ingredients are:

Carica Papaya (PAWPAW)
The nutrient-rich fruit is full of antioxidants, minerals and also contains vitamins C + B. It helps to aid skin repair, provides anti-inflammatory properties and adds moisture.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
A desert plant with amazing abilities to absorb and restore moisture. It contains more than 200 different plant constituents that promote glowing, youthful looking skin and hair.
– Retains and restores moisture to lips, skin and hair.
– ‘Bathes’ skin cells and helps promote skin regeneration.
– Helps minimise appearance of pore size.
– Excellent ingredient for skin cleansing and toning.

If you haven't tried it, I would definitely recommend it. I'm thinking of trying their tinted balms next!

What are your fave lip balms?

Much Love,

Tk,

High Street Lip Balm Faves

So... It's that time of year when we are all reaching for our lip balms a hell of a lot more!
I know I am!

For some reason this year more so than before too... Unsure what that's all about?!

So I thought I would share my fave High Street Lip Balms to help soothe your lips too!

Now, I haven't tried many High End ones so I am unable to compare, and I'm sure there are many fantastic ones out there. But if you're like me and tend to have one in your handbag, car, room and at work too... It can get a little pricey anyway, let alone with higher end stuff!

Firstly I try (I do try really hard to remember every morning but inevitably forget) to remember to use my Lush Lip Scrub.
I have the bubblegum one and I've spoken about my love for this product. Having now converted a fair few friends in the past month or so too!

This helps make your lips super soft and gives a fab base for your balm to be able to actually work and soak into them properly.
The fact that you get to lick it off is just a massive bonus!

Now... My most favourite ever ever ever has to be Carmex.
Everyone knows this about me, and again, over the years I have managed to convert many friends and family members to its greatness.
I personally don't mind whether it's in the original tub form or if it's the squeezy tube... As you can see!
However... Regarding flavour... I am a little fussy... Only in that I can't seem to get along with the Mint one... This is very unfortunate, but I comfort myself with the gorgeous strawberry or cherry ones and then I don't feel sad.
I feel that Carmex is the only balm I've found to actually do the job on my lips... Although I do switch it up every now and then because I lose the tingling sensation and feel like my lips become kind of immune to it if that's even possible?
I also love to use this underneath lipgloss as I find most lip glosses rather sticky, and this way it keeps it from being too much.

It's generally around the £2/£2.50 mark and you can find it everywhere including Primarni now. It's also got SPF 15 which is an added bonus.
They have also brought out a tinted range but personally I don't like them. Each to their own I guess, but I will stick with these thank you!

Next up is a Nivea Stick balm. I will generally use this when it's windy or on the go/in a rush as I always end up squeezing half a tube of my Carmex out! What a waste!
I do really like it as a balm, it's very moisturising, although I sometimes feel it can feel a bit greasy after a while.

This again can be found in most shops and is around £1.50/£2, and has a SPF of 20 too.
Nivea also have a tinted range which I do actually like, and used to use the light pink shimmery one regularly.
I may have to repurchase this!

Lastly is good old Vaseline. I personally prefer this Rose one as I feel it isn't as industrial feeling as the original blue one. Maybe that's just because it's pink... Who knows?

It definitely gives a nice hint of colour to your lips, although I'm not sure how much it works on my lips unfortunately. Although I still buy it, so it must be doing something right!

What are your favourites?

Much Love,

T, x
