Products I Can't Live Without | Highlighters

Here is my list of highlighters that I love, all from the high street and therefore all within everyone's budget.

highlighters, no.7, make up revolution, MUA, make up, beauty

MUA

I have loved this highlighter for about 4 years now and this must be my 2nd purchase I would bet as it last a long time!

MUA, highlighter, make up, beauty

From MUA, and therefore only £3 this highlighter is in the shade Pink Shimmer and is from the Undress Your Skin range.

It is super pretty and looks amazing. It is my go to, and is always in my make up bag as I know I will reach for this over all my others - as you can see I've already hit pan again!

No.7

This one is in a contour set and contains a matte highlighter. It costs £12.50 for the palette and includes a matte contour colour too and is in the shade medium/dark.

no.7, make up, beauty, highlighters

This is great for when I'm out and about as it comes with a mirror and a contour shade I can use if required.

I have also used the highlighter for eyeshadow when I've been in a pinch.

Make Up Revolution

I've only had this since I received it in my Advent Calendar December just gone. I love the colour although I tend to only use this when I have a tan due to the shade.

Make up revolution, make up, beauty, highlighters

I feel like it is too gold for my skin without one as I am basically transparent, but I know that it looks beaut when I have a bit of colour so I intend to pack this for holidays this year.

Costing only £3 it is super cheap too!

Products I Can't Live Without | Brows

So I'm a massive fan of using pressed powders to do my brows rather than pencils as I prefer the look they give me, plus I find them a lot easier to use!

I thought I'd do a mini review on the products I use now and that I couldn't live without.

Benefit, Younique, MUA, eyebrow, brow, make up, beauty

I used to use a MAC eyeshadow with a 216 Brush, but that was in my make up bag when I lost it and I haven't got round to replacing them yet!

MUA Quad:

MUA, eyebrows, brows, make up, beauty

At the moment the High Street brow set I've been using is the MUA quad.

I really like this set, it comes with two brow shades, a highlight and a wax to set them. It also comes with a tiny brush which you definitely have to get used to using!

Although it's handy as it is double sided, so I use one side for the shadow and the other for the wax if I use it... Which I rarely do to be honest.

There were some dinky tweezers in this set when I brought it... Where they are now however is another question entirely! They weren't very easy to use and although the idea is great that you have everything in one palette, I think I may have got frustrated with them falling out and chucked them into the depths of my room... Oops!

This set is great especially for the price of £3.50.

The shades are really pigmented, the highlight is a nice matte and the wax is great to set them if you need to. I generally don't need to, and if I do, use my brow gel instead as I feel that it's a more natural look on the brows.

Younique Palette 2:

Younique, cocky, eyebrow, brow, make up, beauty

Although this is not packaged as a brow kit, back when Younique didn't have much in the way of brow products, I used 'Cocky' from Palette 2 and haven't looked back.

It's the perfect colour for my brows, and I use my Real Techniques brow brush. Don't get me wrong, for £38 it's probably rather a lot for a brow shade, however, the rest of the colours in this palette are beautiful so it is well worth it.

The colour is super pigmented and is really easy to use for my brows. I love to take this if I'm staying anywhere overnight or getting ready elsewhere as it means I have something for my brows as well as eyeshadows and highlight.

Benefit Gimme Brow:

benefit, gimme brow, brows, eyebrows, make up, beauty

I have two colours of this, to get the best colour for my brows.

I prefer using this to go over the top of what I end up creating with my quad or the Younique palette to set them.

I do like using these products, but I think I'm a powder and brush girl when it comes to my brows unfortunately.

For £16.99 it's great for what it is, and It's perfect if you are in a rush and don't have time to take time on your brows with powder as it fills them in and gives them good definition in half the time.

High Street Lip Balm Faves

So... It's that time of year when we are all reaching for our lip balms a hell of a lot more!
I know I am!

For some reason this year more so than before too... Unsure what that's all about?!

So I thought I would share my fave High Street Lip Balms to help soothe your lips too!

Now, I haven't tried many High End ones so I am unable to compare, and I'm sure there are many fantastic ones out there. But if you're like me and tend to have one in your handbag, car, room and at work too... It can get a little pricey anyway, let alone with higher end stuff!

Firstly I try (I do try really hard to remember every morning but inevitably forget) to remember to use my Lush Lip Scrub.
I have the bubblegum one and I've spoken about my love for this product. Having now converted a fair few friends in the past month or so too!

This helps make your lips super soft and gives a fab base for your balm to be able to actually work and soak into them properly.
The fact that you get to lick it off is just a massive bonus!

Now... My most favourite ever ever ever has to be Carmex.
Everyone knows this about me, and again, over the years I have managed to convert many friends and family members to its greatness.
I personally don't mind whether it's in the original tub form or if it's the squeezy tube... As you can see!
However... Regarding flavour... I am a little fussy... Only in that I can't seem to get along with the Mint one... This is very unfortunate, but I comfort myself with the gorgeous strawberry or cherry ones and then I don't feel sad.
I feel that Carmex is the only balm I've found to actually do the job on my lips... Although I do switch it up every now and then because I lose the tingling sensation and feel like my lips become kind of immune to it if that's even possible?
I also love to use this underneath lipgloss as I find most lip glosses rather sticky, and this way it keeps it from being too much.

It's generally around the £2/£2.50 mark and you can find it everywhere including Primarni now. It's also got SPF 15 which is an added bonus.
They have also brought out a tinted range but personally I don't like them. Each to their own I guess, but I will stick with these thank you!

Next up is a Nivea Stick balm. I will generally use this when it's windy or on the go/in a rush as I always end up squeezing half a tube of my Carmex out! What a waste!
I do really like it as a balm, it's very moisturising, although I sometimes feel it can feel a bit greasy after a while.

This again can be found in most shops and is around £1.50/£2, and has a SPF of 20 too.
Nivea also have a tinted range which I do actually like, and used to use the light pink shimmery one regularly.
I may have to repurchase this!

Lastly is good old Vaseline. I personally prefer this Rose one as I feel it isn't as industrial feeling as the original blue one. Maybe that's just because it's pink... Who knows?

It definitely gives a nice hint of colour to your lips, although I'm not sure how much it works on my lips unfortunately. Although I still buy it, so it must be doing something right!

What are your favourites?

Much Love,

My High Street Must Haves

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hey guys,

I thought I would show you all my high street must haves and am hoping you will share your's with me too. I'm a high end girl at heart, but since I returned from travelling I've had to dip into the highstreet brands, and I am loving it. Dont get me wrong - I still love my high end stuff, MAC will never be far from my heart, but I don't know why I didnt do this sooner, my bank balance is loving me a little more I think!

Lip Balm

Carmex - I have used this since I was about 14 after a friends mum introduced us all to it. I love it! I can't go anywhere without it.

I prefer the tubs, although if you are an acrylic girl, the tubs can be a pain to use. I only get the plain or cherry as I dont like the mint version.

Lipstick

- Nude - I got this in an Australian drugstore when I was there earlier in the year and I love it. It's the perfect lipstick to just chuck on and go. No mirror needed! Plus it has a slight shimmer which I love.
Shade is Nude Peach

- Bright - I got this from an Oz drugstore too. Its a great matte pink, really pigmented and lasts really well too. I love putting my fave lipgloss below on top as they make a really nice lip look. Shade is Trendy.

Lipgloss -

I got this in a set for Christmas last year, but I actually had Christmas in July 2013 as I was in Oz for the actual day in 2012.
It's the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Punch Bowl. A lot of people don't like the tingle but I actually enjoy it... Does this make me strange...?! Hmmm...
I will admit it is very sticky and isn't great if you're wanting to eat, drink, most things to be honest, but I love the way it looks. And the tingle... Hehe.

Swatches:

Concealer -

Collection 2000 -
This is good for dark circles as well as blemishes, although I would say is a medium coverage. I still love my Benefits Erase paste for a higher coverage.
Shade is the lightest which I believe is 001.

Foundation -

Rimmel Wake Me Up - I brought this after Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter raved about it and am very impressed. I would say its a Light to medium coverage, but you can build it up easily. Thanks Louise!
As you can see I'm going to need a new one soon!

Powder and Bronzer

Both Rimmel and I love them both so much they are both touching pan and I have now lost both of their lids. Oops! Not the easiest for transportation purposes!
Bronzer is shade 022- Sunbronze and is the perfect Bronzer. It has minimal shimmer so I am able to use it to contour sometimes, but gives you a gorgeous bronzed look without looking like you've been tangoed!
Powder is shade 002- Pink Blossom and is the Stay Matte powder which I know the majority of the blogging community love and for good reason! Definitely one of my make up bag staples.

Do you think I need a new Bronzer?! :)

Eyeliner -

Gel - Collection 2000 Black.

This was a bit more of a necessity than wanting to! I had run out of my MAC fluid line and had no money! :(
I do really like this although the brush is far too small for my liking so I don't use it. Also, you have to make sure you don't have very much on your brush or else it smudges quite easily as you put it on!

Pencil - Bourjois Contour in Black.

This is my fave along with the Rimmel Kohl liner.
They are the only ones I've found so far that don't drag my eyes which is a massive pet peeve of mine!

Liquid- Pop (from ASOS) My One Liner in The Black.

Again this came in a set and I didn't expect much from it... But I am pleasantly surprised, it stays on all night and I am able to do flicks really easily which is always handy! :)

Mascara -

Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black.

I have the worlds shortest lashes it is crazy!!! So I do tend to wear falsies a lot or get extensions.
However, when I do have a day off from them, I find this is the best for me as it doesn't clump my lashes together and separates and curls them to make it look like I actually have some!

Let me know what your High Street Must Haves are too, and make sure you check out Louise's blog and you tube channel (Sprinkle of Glitter - Youtube) if you haven't already!
Much Love,

T x
