A Winter Wonderland!

So the week before Christmas my Mum took Myself, My Sister In Law and my two nephews and niece to see Father Christmas.

This was at the Brookside Garden Centre in East Peckham, Kent.

My mum had previously taken the rest of the crew the year before last and the kids has loved it.

So we decided we'd make a day of it!

First we stopped for lunch at The Hop Farm which is about a 5 minute drive away from the garden centre.

It's set in a beautiful old oast building and it's really good value for nice food.

Then with our bellies filled it was time to see the main man himself!

While we were waiting there was loads for the kiddies to do, including a massive chalk board that ran the whole length of the queue which I thought was a great idea. There were also elves with iPads going round involving them in different games.

We waited... Patiently... As patient as kids can wait when they know they are meeting Father Christmas anyway!

Each group is given their own Elf which my Mum was very happy about.
As soon as we stepped inside I knew it was going to be magical... It was like a winter Disney!

The Elf we had was brilliant and she told the kids stories about different parts of the winter walk to the hut where Santa was waiting. (They of course were walking around, mouths open, mesmerised!)

Once we reached Santa's hut, there was a guest book for us to sign which we dutifully did... Adults included... Ahem.

I'm not sure what my then... Nearly 1yr old niece knew what to do when with this bearded man in a red and white suit started talking to her and handing her a present! Bless her.

My youngest nephew on the other hand asked for a toy reindeer and told his big brother to ask for a lion... (Who knows?!)

All in all it was a lovely day and definitely an experience I would recommend to any families with young children... Or even just the adults as I know we had fun!

There is also a massive beautiful section of Christmas Decorations every year and we struggled not to buy the whole lot!

Here's a few of the animal themed displays... Because... Cute!

Much Love,

T, x
