What I have been Loving over the last few months.

So having been absent from my blog AGAIN! Who said that work and life could get in the way? I definitely do not like this arrangement!
I decided I would use my precious spare time wisely and tell you what I've been loving recently.

Make Up:

I'm loving my brow kit from MUA, having rediscovered it recently at the back of my draw. I love that although it's cheap it does what it says on the tin!

I'm also loving my Garnier roll on concealer for under my eyes. The metal ball applicator is so refreshing, especially in the morning and helps me wake up!

I've also been loving my MAC eye shadows after using my MUA palette for so long it was nice to have a play. In particular I've been using Quarry as a go to shade for my lid and then I tend to use       Twink to blend into the crease.

Skin Care:

Skin wise I'm really naughty and don't look after it anywhere near as much as I should do!
I have been trying to at least moisturise though and have been loving this Simple one. It sinks in really nicely and my skin seems to love it!

Hair Care:

I've recently repurchased some of the Texturising spray I love from VO5. It's cheap but does an amazing job on my hair plus it smells good!

Perfume:

I tend to switch it up with my perfume but have been reaching for my BeyoncĂ© Heat perfume soooo much that I don't have much left. It's such a nice fragrance and one that I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. My best friend got it for me mainly because she knew I would like the packaging! She did good!

Fashion:

I have been loving my new necklace from George at Asda. I spotted it weeks ago but couldn't justify spending the money on it when I have so many already and when I popped in recently it was half price, and therefore I decided, it was meant to be! :)

App:

Buzz feed... I genuinely think I am a little addicted... I find myself scanning every spare minute I have and have now subscribed to the You Tube channels too just to ensure I get my fill. I have a lot of love for it! Can any of you recommend any particular threads I should check out?

What are you loving at the moment?

Much Love,

High Street vs High End Primer

Now I can be a bit naughty and forget steps like Primer... However when I do remember I just grab whatever's in my drawer. I do need to try some more out so I have a better knowledge really. If anyone has any favourites let me know!

High Street: Rimmel-Stay Matte Primer

This was a great purchase and lasted for ages. It feels really nice on your face and definitely kept my make up on longer than it would have done without it on.
You only need a little bit, I generally use about a pea sized amount on the back of my hand and apply with my fingers.
It glides across your face really easily and sinks in really well.
I will definitely be repurchasing this especially as it's so reasonably priced.

High End: Benefit - That Gal

Now I'm a lover of all things Benefit anyway, especially as I used to work for them.
This is one of my faves and was the first primer I came across. I don't think I'd even heard of primer before then.
Firstly, it smells amazing! Like strawberry's! Who wouldn't want to put something that smells that good on your face?

I also love the packaging, it's in a kind of dispensary tube... (No idea how else to describe it!)

You twist it from the bottom and the product comes up through the holes in the top. I believe that this is to give you the amount you should need without having to guess.
Again, this glides on really easily and sinks in nicely.

Afterthoughts:

I do feel That Gal gives me a nicer base to then apply my foundation on than the Rimmel primer and smells delicious!
Other than that, there aren't any major differences except the price tag of course!
So if you're looking for a primer but don't want to spend a bomb, try out the Rimmel one as it's just as good.
However, if you're like me and love the benefit packaging and the way this smells, then That Gal is a great primer to use. It just goes to show you don't have to pay for the High End stuff all the time.

Much Love,

Jo Malone Rock of Ages Launch

So a few posts ago I mentioned having taken my Jo Malone virginity and that they had invited me back to look at the new launch.

Myself and my grandma went in a few weeks ago to test them out and I have definitely fallen in love!

The lady was lovely as are all of the people that work in the Fenwicks branch. She explained all the products really well and we even got a gorgeous hand and arm massage... I've never had one before but it was divine! I would highly recommend it.

There are 5 new fragrances in total and they are all based on a different era, hence the name.

My favourite was the Birch and Black Pepper which is based on Britain today. It smells soooo good! The lady had my notes saying I loved the Wood, Sage and Sea Salt scent and teamed them together... Oh my goodness... Heaven!

The other scents were all lovely, but not really my cup of tea, although I do love the packaging of them all.

We also got to smell some of the candles they sell. As much as I love the W,S&SS fragrance, the candle smelt a little too much of sage for my liking unfortunately. But I found a new favourite in the form of the Velvet Rose and Oud candle. If you haven't smelt this already, get to your nearest store quick sticks! I will definitely be purchasing this sooner rather than later.

We decided to make a day of it and headed to Pret for some lunch. It's our favourite coffee shop and the food is yummy too. We had the chicken, bacon and mozzarella toastie with some sea salt and cider vinegar crisps... My new fave crisps! The toastie was nice, but we prefer the ham and mustard toastie they do.

What are your fave Jo Malone products? Do you love Pret as much as we do?

Much Love,
