Catch Up | We're Moving...Again!

So... back in the Friends days... Monica is moving in with Chandler and has a moment when it all becomes very real and she starts stressing about having to live with a boy!

Rewind to a year ago and this was my reality.

Myself and my boyfriend had decided we would move in together which is obviously an extremely exciting step in anyone's relationship.

Exciting... yet stressful, difficult, challenging are some of the other words I would use to describe the situation.

Having both never lived solely with a significant other it was super scary too.

Even the beginning of the process... when you're starting to look at where you're going to live makes for very interesting discussions. I thought this was meant to be easy?!

Then you finally find somewhere you both love and have to wait... "patiently" to find out if you get accepted.

Next, the packing begins and you both find a whole host of shit that you think you will easily be able to hide so you can keep it... this doesn't work!

We eventually moved in to a lovely 2 bedroom place on the outskirts of our hometown, with a gorgeous kitchen that had a stable door (my favourite room of the house).

It was lovely, and we made it our own little home. This is when we also found out about Logan and Wade and brought them home to complete our little family.

Unfortunately, when I got ill, before my surgery, I had a lot of time off of work and we needed to find somewhere cheaper.

Luckily, my uncles house came up for rent around about our 6 month mark - our luck was in!

We moved in to another 2 bedroom house in our hometown, with a cute garden and a massive kitchen with skylights.

As much as we love this house and have again made it our own, we have come to realise we aren't getting any younger.

We both want to eventually buy our own house and to do that we need to save save save!

Jack's parents have been super kind in allowing us to move back in with them, which we will be doing at the end of March.

We have all the same emotions coming back as we did in the beginning of this journey, as it's a completely new step for us.

Although it seems we are moving backwards, we know it's for the long term gratification. (although we may need to keep reminding ourselves of this)

I'm excited about our new adventure, and hopefully by the end of 2019 I will be showing you around our own house that we have brought ourselves!

Have any of you gone through this process with your other halves?

How did you find it?

Much Love,

Tk xx

Small Make Up Haul

Last week I realised I had run out of a few bits and went into town on a mission to get them all in 15mins and succeeded.

First up, I was coming to the end of one of my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundations, and wanted another one, but stumbled across this instead and I love it!

Make up, blog, beauty

Its the Colour Match foundation, and it's medium coverage with the ability to build, and looks flawless. I picked it up in the shade True Ivory, and was pretty spot on if I do say so myself...

I also picked up this Insta Fix and Matte translucent powder, as I had run out of my usual Rimmel powder and thought this would be good to try out, so far so good! I will get back to you if anything changes...

Next up I picked up the Radiance Brick Bronzer in 001 Light. It's got a slight shimmer and looks beaut! I tend to use this after I have contoured just to give myself a bit of a bronze highlight.

Lastly from Rimmel, I picked up this Scandaleyes Reloaded mascara as I always loved the original so thought I'd give it a go. The brush is different and I'm not sure I'm a massive fan as yet... but I perserve and see what happens...

On the way to the till I found the next few items... I know I know, In and out... but they were on my way, that's my excuse anyway...

These Moxi Eye catchers looked really intriguing, and I am yet to use them. They are cotton buds pre-filled with what I presume is make up remover, to save your make up when you are half way through your face!

If any girl says she does her make up perfect every time... she's lying... don't trust her...

It was the night of my Birthday drinks and I usually have my nails done quite regularly, but have given my nails a rest recently. I came across these House of Holland fake nails, and I love them.
They came with pretty decent glue and I intend to reuse them and ensure I actually take a picture this time as I forgot!
They are a really pretty pinky nude shade and then you obviously have the choice of a bit of sparkle should you so wish.

I saw this mask and had to pick it up as my old housemate used to use these regularly when I lived with her, and I always wanted to try them and never got round to it.
So when I spotted it this time I decided to pick one up to give it a go - I don't know when this will actually happen as I have soooo many to review at the moment..but I promise I will get to it.. Plus I could do with some revitalising!

Last, but by no means least, I picked up this Ecotools Eye brush duo. Simply because you can never have too many brushes and I needed some more fluffy blending brushes.

Once I have got around to using everything properly and for a decent amount of time to ensure I can review it properly I will get back to you.

Obviously except the face mask... I only intend on using this once... Essay over...

Much Love,

Dyson Hot and Cold Fan

Last year, I brought Jack a Dyson Fan for Christmas.

I know, I know... but he really wanted one!

Originally I really didn't get it, it's just a fan, what's the big deal?

We moved in together back in February which was when I started to understand.

The fan itself is a pretty fan, for what it is. In a white and silver finish, in a long oval shape, the fan oscillates whilst being hot or cold.

That's right! You can choose!

This was one of my original reasons for liking it so much as the house we moved into got pretty chilly mainly due to the time of year.
So being able to have a heater handy was great.

Also, Jack was used to having his computer in the room with him when he slept with the fan in that making noise, so when we moved in together we put the Dyson one in our room.

Now both us of struggle to sleep without a fan on, and have even downloaded a track on Spotify that we play when staying away! (might be a little OTT... but it helps!)

The fan is a bit of an investment to say the least, ranging from £250 - £500 but it so worth it and obviously comes with Dyson's guarantee.

When we eventually buy a house, I will definitely be wanting one downstairs too, to save us moving our one up and down the stairs. (I say that like it's heavy... it's actually super light! I just want another one!)

Do you have anything that you weren't intending to buy, or were surprised how much you liked it?

Let me know!

Much Love,
