New Experiences...
Since being in Australia I have had many new experiences...
I thought I would share some of them with you guys...
The first one is driving a UTE... Back home I only ever drove small cars... big cars scared me!
I was asked to go and pick up a bike (quad to you and me) by a regular in the pub I'm working in and jumped at the chance to get into civilisation for the day!
I actually really enjoyed driving it, whether that was because I was so stoked at driving again after being away for a few months or not I'm not sure!
This was My Christmas Dinner... Prawns... Interesting eh?!
They were soooo nice... but was very strange not having a proper English Christmas roast!
I think it made me less homesick in a way though...
Plus, it was very hot that day... (38 degrees i think) so a roast would of been very hard to eat!
OK... wow! We climbed a tree.... not just any tree... the Dave Evan's Biccentential Tree. It is 75m above ground... and has 165 pegs to climb.
I have to admit... this was a very scary experience... but of the best experiences I've ever had! It took a lot of determination to get to the top!
I do have two vlogs of when we reached the top and one at the bottom... I will uploading these on my you tube account in the near future...
OK... sounds strange I know... but I am extremely fussy... and so trying Watermelon was a big thing for me... I have now discovered another fruit I like. Big Smiles! :)
Being in Australia...and in rural oz too... I see Roo's all the time... I got to hold a baby one! SO cute!
This makes me chuckle... We went down to the beach... Random UTE stuck in the sand... and the sea was twisting it and turning it over!
We went to Margaret River in WA and decided to have a cave tour, we went for Jewel Cave as we had been advised it was the best! It was very interesting and I have lots of cool pictures from it.
Also in Margaret River, we went to Prevely Beach and went Snorkeling (also a new experience).
This picture shows the section of water we decided to snorkel in... and a 1m Stingray swam underneath me! Best feeling ever! He was so close and it was amazing!
Last one is a bit strange... on Good Friday, we were invited to a couples house for dinner. They had been fishing during the day and had caught a few fish! I have never seen a fish this close up and this big before.
The dinner was amazing! Fresh fish tastes soooo good!
They are obviously only just a few... more to come hopefully!
Much Love, Tk xx
