La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Ok... So I know a lot of bloggers have spoken about this before and I haven't just hit the band wagon... It's been one of those things where I've had my 3ml sample sitting in my drawer and forgetting to use it regularly enough to be able to review it properly!

(I love miniatures so much! I have managed to squeeze a lot out of this!)

In the Last couple of weeks as it's been getting colder, I've been making an effort with my skin care as I've realised as I'm getting older sob sob, my skin is changing and when it gets colder it doesn't feel as youthful as it once did.

I've always used moisturisers on and off, mainly by borrowing my Mums... (Thanks Mum!) but I have to say I'm awful at the whole cleansing and exfoliating thing as I can never find anything I like, or rather my skin likes.
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

I do have my Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm which is great and I really need to start using it more often as it really makes my skin feel loved.

Now, with the Effaclar Duo, I seem to make more of an effort as I can actually see the difference it's making to my skin. Does anyone else have that where if you can see it, you believe it?!

My skin has become less red and evened out. My breakouts are less frequent and if I do get any, they don't hang around long.

I can't recommend this enough and at the weekend I had to get the full size tube, 40ml. Now I have more I can use it day and night as recommended, so hopefully any of the minor redness I do still have will be cleared up in no time at all.

It's even made me want to try more from this brand and I will be popping into Boots soon to see what else I can lay my hands on!

Much love,

T x

Roadtrip to Bristol

So this weekend I took a road trip to go and see my best friend and her boyfriend. (Cue photos galore!)

After her living there a good few years now, I decided it was high time I made the effort to go and see her and meet the man in her life now that my hours at work are so much better.

I'm soooo glad I did. I had an amazing couple of days with them both. Was so nice to chill out and just spend time together.

I left on Saturday and the drive wasn't too bad, no traffic which was very surprising!
Make up wise I went very basic as I knew I would be in the car for a while!
(Rimmel Wake me up foundation, MAC Mineralize skin finish powder, Mua brow kit, Maybelline Go Extreme! Mascara, Benefit Erase Paste and Mac Wedge Eye shadow)

Stopping for a coffee I came along this delightful sight! I am extremely jealous of everyone who has these beauty's where they live!

I live in Kent and we obviously have Starbucks but we don't have the drive through versions yet so this excited me a lot!
I may have to start a petition to get one closer to me. Mocha in hand and I was off again!

After a long drive,
I finally arrived to this and my gorgeous Bessie!

I had already told them I would cook and made some gorgeous (if I do say so myself) Chilli and Lime Chicken with avocado, halloumi and homemade chips.
While I was busy cooking, the boys set to work making Mojitos which I had never tasted before, but they were yum! (Maybe even one of my faves now!)

That evening we were all pretty tired, so stuck 'Hot Fuzz' on and just chilled out.
I had an amazing sleep! Does anyone else ever get a better sleep when they visit people or just me? I always have a really good sleep and feel so much more refreshed than I do in my own bed!

Morning came and the boys had been domesticated and set the table for breakfast with the super yummy pastries below! I had my favourite which was the chocolate twist.
We also had eggs benedict afterwards, which was another new thing for me and it was sooo good. I don't know why I haven't had this before? All finished up with a coffee from their new coffee machine which I am now thinking about purchasing also... cheeky!

We also had a lot of fun feeding the swans off of the harbour... no pictures here as its hard to hold a camera device and launch bread! Here's a pic of the lovely harbour though.

We then went for a little shopping spree... but ended up spending 3 hours in Primark... In our defence it is huuuuge! 4 floors of Primarni goodness. They have thought about it very well and ensured you need to go to every floor to get something, but have managed to sneak in a very handy Costa shop on the first floor. Perfect for you to leave your other halves/parents if they are getting bored!
After that long stint, and me being silly enough to carry around my handbag we were aching and needed to refuel.
Through-out the end of November and most of December there is a German Market that has been put up in the heart of Bristol Town Centre and it is so lovely and Christmassy.
There are loads of cute stalls with a variety of different gifts, food, drink and even snow!
We each had a different Bratwurst; Curried, Plain, and Spicy, another new experience for me! We teamed it with some lovely hot mulled wine and just took it the atmosphere.

Here's some of the surroundings and of course us!

After a fun filled weekend with lots of new experiences for me, it was time to head home. Look at all the pretties! Much Love, T x

Everyone loves a good freebie!

Morning!

On my Road trip at the weekend (which you will hear all about tomorrow...) I came across this little beauty in the garage.

I'm a bit of a magpie to freebies in magazines and lately there have been some really good ones around.

With Elle, for £4 you get a mini 'They're Real' Push Up Liner by Benefit. This is fab for me as I've wanted to try it for ages but didn't want to splurge unnecessarily, especially just before Christmas!

It is a really cute little sample sized version and I will be sure to update you as to if I like it or not. Knowing me and Benefit products, I'm going to hedge my bets and say I probably will.

What I also Love about Elle is that there are hidden goodies too. In this edition there is a mini Next catalogue with all their pretty Christmas dress' range, for more please go here.

There is also a Monnier Gift Guide, which is perfect for this time of year. Albeit most of it is Designer, we can all dream. Plus there are the odd one or two that are a little more affordable.

Second to Last are the perfume samples which I think are great. Its just enough for you to get the idea of how it will smell on you before going and buying a full size. Elle have managed to pack in four to this issue. Can't wait to try them all!

La Vie Est Belle - Feel Unique

                                            Reveal - Feel Unique

                                            Angel - The Fragrance Shop

Bon Bon - The Fragrance Shop

Lastly, Elle have included a 15% off voucher for Feel Unique. I am looking forward to having a little spree with this!

If you find any other Magazines with any goodies, let me know!

Much Love,

T x
